Temperature thing could be a sticky thermostat

The K series engine is one of the fastest engines to get up to temperature that there is, due to its small water capacity and lightweight all alloy construction. Unless it is overheating I'd not worry at all.

The headlight adjuster could be a number of things but chances are it is something simple like the adjuster isn't located quite properly in the headlamp unit.
