Just noticed today that Halfords do alloy wheel refurbs, anyone here used them? as I have 1 VVC alloy that could really do with it. Nowhere else local to me does it afaik.

Neither did I til today, trouble is the closest specialist is near Bristol so i'd probably have to drop it off then pick it up another time, so thats twice across the bridge before I pay for fuel. Going on that it'd be cheaper to buy a new one

Prep the wheel yourself and take it to a bodyshop and get them to respray it for you. I can't remember what the Rover OE wheel paint colour code is, but if you have a look on the various forums I'm sure you'll find it. I paid £60 for all four of my wheels to be resprayed after doing the prep work myself.

How much do they charge for this?
You can get some decent 17 inch alloys for just over £300

Just decided against using Halfords, they quote 'From £65 per wheel', think i'll take Toms advice, I know the colour is 'sparkle silver' but the code i'm unsure of.

Its 'FROM' £65 so depending on how kerbed it is could cost a lot more...
They should give you a brand new rim for that price

I couldn't remember the code or the colour name, but I've just looked up the name you just mentioned and the paint code for that is MNH.
