Well I'm pleased to say I flew the flag for the R8 at Gaydon's Best of British Show on the weekend... but by accident!
I have been asked by BMH Gaydon to go to some of their events during the year and write a review of them to appear on their website. I trotted off there on Sunday with my press pass and wife Jackie and decided to give our latest 214 SEi purchase a run. I have to admit we haven't got round to washing and valeting the car yet due to time but we were expecting to be sent round to the Press car park.
You can imagine our surprise when we arrived and were told we were now exhibitors and we could park right by the Museum entrance! We dutifully pulled in next to a very bemused Jag owner and a gorgeous Roller with our tired paint and an exhaust blow that we picked up somewhere on the M40. As you can see from the pics on photobucket, Jackie was wondering if anyone would notice us! Pleased to say for all R8 owners that people did and I managed to hand out some club details to interested people!
Here is the link to some of the sights of Gaydon show on my photobucket but I will upload a write up this week on the BMH site. It was a very varied collection!
