Re: Still going?
Hi all, I'm based in the Yate area of the Bristol region and it would be fantastic to meet some likeminded indeviduals who share a passion for the R8 in the local area! I was wondering how do I get myself on the welcome list for any events in the area? Any help appreciated, but just so people know I do not currently own one of these fantastic cars (unfortunately) but am on the lookout (as used to own one) if it makes a jott of difference ha
Re: Still going?

Hi,
My uncle has decided that he has to give up motoring and owns a very nice example of the above model with full service history and only 25000 miles on the clock. 12 months MOT. He is aware that the car is worth little but it is far too good to scrap. Do you think any of your members would be interested in the vehicle? The car is in Bradford at the moment but I intend to bring it to Grantham in the near future. Any reasonable offer would be considered.
Regards,
Andrew Driver

Re: Still going?
Umm, no!
Another clue then, just for you.
It should be much more reliable than a Landie or a Rangie, if the stories I've heard about them (and there are several) are true!
If you get it right before we meet up on Saturday Di, I'll buy you a drink!

Re: Still going?
Di,
That is a quality list there, particularly the German contingent (I've always been a fan of the Cayenne) and yes you are getting warm because they are all four wheel drive, but then I mentioned that at the start anyway!
However, the car in question is not on your list, although you are in the right neck of the woods, sometimes.
1234dist - Sort of the closest yet, but only because we nearly went and had a look at one, but then found the *** instead. (The number of asterisks is not a clue!)
Not sure what else I can give as a clue without giving it away, but only a few more days for you all to ponder!
I look forward to seeing who suggests what next.
