Re: Looking for dash clock 8 pin
In case you don't find one, Land Rover Freelanders of the same period that use an R770 or R860 actually use an identical clock display. The display is black on green rather than orange on black, but it still works just the same. More often than not they hold up a little better than the Rover ones too.

I think you could always swap the colour strip inside the clock to make the land rover one orange not done this but reckon that would work .Aaron169 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 9:56 pm In case you don't find one, Land Rover Freelanders of the same period that use an R770 or R860 actually use an identical clock display. Re: Looking for dash clock 8 pin
There was a guy on ebay reconditioning these but can't find the advert anyone else know .
Re: Looking for dash clock 8 pin
The guy on eBay does not offer that service anymore due to lack of material for repair which is thin to find in these days after pandemic.
Re: Looking for dash clock 8 pin
I think swapping the colour strip will make the background orange, but the text will still be black like on a calculator. There is a good video online on how to fix them with an iron, I've tried it before and it works great if you're careful.I think you could always swap the colour strip inside the clock to make the land rover one orange not done this but reckon that would work .

Just thinking can’t find 8 pin if I got 4 pin and the plug with it would it be possible to cut and adapt
as my volume controller on steering wheel does not work as it’s fitted with more modern radio / CD player. Any ideas
