Yes, Ware Garages from Ware in Hertfordshire. I guess they may have used Peterborough DVLA office.

Or the car was registered in Peterborough and then resold at the Ware dealership.

Yep, the car was collected from Ware yesterday.
I'm collecting the Cabriolet from Stevenage just down the road from Ware! Shame I couldn't get them both on the same day.

By the way, this car has no alarm. There is no fob, nor a red flashing light on the dash. Is that unusual? I thought they all had alarms.

Re: G-reg Rover 416 GSi
early cars used a rf alarm with the sensor inside the interior light.
These are still available from rimmers but not cheap.

Alarms were a dealer fit option on the early cars.

Re: G-reg Rover 416 GSi
Further to my earlier posts about the car seemingly running hotter than normal (i.e., it "feels" hotter but the temp gauge is OK), I've just returned from the garage I use, and they've checked it all out and everything is OK and they recommend doing nothing.
There was an oil drip too which just turned out to be the sump plug that needed nipping up. Will see how it goes. He thought that with the car having so few miles and being stood more than being driven, that the oil seals harden up. There is apparently an additive you can put in oil (when you do an oil and filter change) that softens the seals back up again. Might be worth looking into….
Other than that, he has it up on the ramps and I had a good look underneath - totally solid and very clean. I'm really pleased with it.
