When was built my car?

Is it possible to know more precisely the built date of my 214 cabby?
Serial number? Engine number? Anything else?
As it was a LHD sold in France and registered by its first owner on the 23rd of August 1994, I guess time should have elapsed since the end of the lines (shipping, custom, and time to find a customer)...
Thanks for your skills and informations. :)

Some or all of this information is coded into the VIN.

There is a thread on the subject started by Tom Pinney titled VIN CODES

No there’s no relation to VIN and assembly date, engine number or any similar information.
The VIN gives the pedigree of the car: engine type, trim level, body type, etc…
To know the exact build date, we would need to have access to the build records. Unfortunately those are unaccounted for for the time being, not even the Gaydon museum have them in their archives.

There is a VIN decoder on this website under THE CARS menu option above, which will give an explanation of what each character represents - but it will not give the production date unfortunately.
