Breathalyised.

Apparently, there are now so many potholes on British roads that the police will breathalylise you if your seen driving in a straight line.

One evening (a few decades ago), I was driving my Triumph 1500 along the Old Durham Road in Gateshead when I was pulled over by one of the boys in blue. He asked if I’d been drinking, as my driving seemed a bit erratic and I was wandering around a bit. I was surprised to hear this and no, I hadn’t been drinking. He sent me off with the advice to ‘concentrate on your driving’ (instead of the lady in the passenger seat – which may have been a fair point
)
However! A few weeks later I was driving along the same stretch of road when I noticed I was indeed wandering around a bit. I hadn’t realised I was automatically/instinctively/intuitively trying to avoid all the damn potholes!!
