New Editor for Viking Magazine

Hello All,
I would like to introduce myself as the new editor of Viking. I met John Batchelor and other club members at Pride of Longbridge and I have agreed to give the editorship a go. Currently, I am acting as a freelance writer and researcher for classic car and aviation museums across the country, notably the BMH at Gaydon and also the RAF Museum. I am a qualified journalist with accreditations with the International News Syndicate. I hope I can live up to the quality established by previous editors of The Vilking!
My car is a 1994 220GSi which I am currently subjecting to a mini resto alongside my 1960s Triumph saloons. I also own a brace of 'bubble' 200s while my wife uses a 400 hatch for work commuting.
My plan is to begin work on a new look edition of the magazine during the Summer with the intention of Autumn publication. After I have had a few more discussions with members, I will announce a proposed format and would invite anyone to send in stories about their restorations, their cars, club meets, driving routes experienced here and overseas or competition driving. Also, if you have had good experiences with particular parts suppliers or garages, then let other members know through the mag!
Please feel free to post any ideas or suggestions on the Forum or you can e mail me directly at darrell94@btinternet.com. Photos are always good. I will upload some PoL pics shortly.
Thanks all!
