Re: Which strut brace to order..?

Motobuild do one for the Tomcat - which I am pretty sure will still fit your 216GSi - and that is a copy of the original Tomcat Racing Series one made by Rover Sport. I don't think it's tremendously cheap though...

...but might be worth a gander?

Re: Illuminated door-mounted electric window door switches?

Alright Dave, sorry didn't think of that! :slapme There are about 35 photos in total, plus a great deal of text in the tutorial. Rather than repost it all, here's a few photos to give you an idea of what he achieved. OK, it's been applied to the later Mk3 dash, but no reason why the same couldn't be...

Re: Illuminated door-mounted electric window door switches?

I was kindly made aware of the following themgzr.co.uk link by someone on rovertech.net earlier today. OK, the very clever individual hasn't used switches from the MG Rover / Honda parts bin, but he has mounted some LEDs in a suitable location in the centre console. I see no reason why the same tech...

Re: Illuminated door-mounted electric window door switches?

Thanks for that Dave - was thinking the same thing ie a lot of work and could possibly look shoite! Decided not to bother now - I've more important things to sort first! :rolleyes Thanks E_T_V, but I think they are quite a bit wider, and with all of the mechanism behind the console, would make it pr...

Re: Illuminated door-mounted electric window door switches?

Everything else within the interior is illuminated, and I wonder why Rover never bothered with the electric window switches?

Illuminated door-mounted electric window door switches?

Just wondered whether anyone had sussed out how to modify the Rover 200 Coupe door-mounted electric window switches so that they are illuminated? I know Rover fitted the same style switches to the later 200 'bubble' and MG ZR at least, but even those aren't illuminated.

Any thoughts?

Re: Has anybody else thought of this?...

Many thanks for that Andy (or Ralph perhaps?) - might save someone the time of searching ebay for the parts.

I assume they are still available to buy from XPart?
