Looking for a few interior bits for '97 R3 SLi

Post by ReloDood »

Suggestions welcomed as to where I might source the following - sadly I don't have part numbers.

Plastic "plungers" (Rover workshop manual term) that centre the sunroof's sliding sunshade, (and restrain the shade smashing into the body on braking and acceleration)

The plastic trim piece that acts as a handle at the front edge of the sunshade

Nothing here in NZ mainly due to the R3's rarity so thought I'd have a crack at finding the bits offshore. Any info appreciated.

Cheers,
Andy

So no solutions sprang to the collective mind, clearly. I've commissioned the 3D printing of a set of four plungers based on some tech drawings I knocked up. CAD file done and test samples being made as I type. With luck, the sunshade will be back in the car within the week.

The plastic trim/handle piece I've recreated in timber and painted to match the 200's interior livery. I'd have preferred to source the genuine part of course, but needs must. And frankly, I doubt anyone would pick that it's a copy.

So no response now needed unless there's a new old stock original part out there that some kind soul feels like donating. I may not be holding my breath though... 😂

Cheers,
