clock on dash not lighting up but still works?

clock on dash not lighting up but still works?

anyone have any idea how to fix the light on the clock on the dash on a 96 418, the clock works but is hard to see it ??

There's a bulb in the back of the clock, you have to prise [carefully] out the clock mounting trimstrip from the facia, withdraw the trim and disconnect the wiring connector from the rear of the clock, tie a piece of string around the connector incase it falls back into the facia, the clock is now clear and you should see the bulb. change it and replace.

Yep. Work a blunt flat object behind the trim from the passenger side toward the centre and it just unclips forward.

hi there in the old shape rover it is a replacment bulb may be the same.
