Dear Member,
A club meet is to be held at the Gaydon Heritage Motor Museum on Sunday 19th August from 11am onwards. An official start up meeting of the Rover 200 & 400 Owners club will be held at 1:15pm in the museum building.
The museum has recently been refurbished. More details about the motor collection can be found at http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk. Entry to the exhibition part of the museum is £8 for Adults and £6 for Children. Obviously entrance to the meeting room in the building is free.
The main crux of the start-up meeting from 1:15pm will include election of all committee members and discussion of club events for next year.
Currently I am maintaining the positions of Chairperson, Secretary, Membership Secretary, Regalia Officer, Magazine Editor and Events Coordinator. As you can imagine this is no small job and I would very much like other club members to become involved on the organisational side to relieve me of several of the posts. The position of Treasurer is currently being held by Matthew Semple.
Nominations of club members may be submitted in writing to me, no less than seven days before the meeting. Nominations can also be made on the day. Only paid up members of the club will be eligible to vote.
If anyone has any queries about the duties of each position then please ask and I will be more than happy to help.
I look forward to meeting some of you, and your vehicles on the day. If you know of someone else who might like to attend the event then please invite them along.
Kind Regards
Lindsey Smith
Chairperson.

So....... who`s going?
I`ll be there, Went round Gaydon with the AR guys a while ago, but didn`t really get a good look round (The missus was with me and pronounced everything "boring"...... she drives a Hyundai Getz, so it`s not really her fault

Good
I`m actually emigrating in a few months down under, so I`m not sure what I can offer ( But I will be looking to find a Rover 416i when I get there!)
I quite like the new layout, though considering the million-pound refurbishment Gaydon has had, it`s tricky to see where the money went - but as I said I didn`t get much of a chance to look round last time, so I suspect theres more to it than what I`ve seen so far....
Tom.
