:S Does anyone out there have experience of retro fitting power steering???????? to a 414 and if so is it easy and what bits should i aquire from the scrapyard???

I've not done it to a 414 but you'll need the rack, the reservoir, the pipework including oil cooler, the pump plus any brackets and tensioners, a new belt and some fluid and patience.

Yes, I did it to the rally car (the PAS rack is "quicker" than the manual).

In addition to ETV's list, you'll also need the subframe as the manual and PAS racks are different diametres and the PAS won't fit in a manual subframe :S

It isn't a hard job, just lots of little bits that need doing. A long day or weekend job, with good tools and good daylight!

and a camera is needed as it would make a good article for the clubs magazine :wink :drive1

HI,
Thanks for the advise, i think i will give it a go, first stop the scrap yard.

I will try to take some photos for an article thingy, when i do the job, time as allways is the master.
Who would i send the article to???????????
