Cabby boot lid wiring

Hi

Has anyone else had snapped/trapped wires in the rubber trunking from boot to boot lid? Mine have trapped and eventually cut through to cause loss of number plate lights.

Any solutions? Will they solder back together or is it a new part loom?

Common on all models unfortunately.

Yes you can rejoin rather than replace, only awkward bit is if there isn't enough slack on wires.

On our Coupe they were soldered back together to get it through the MOT. The Cabriolet has the same bootlid so I am sure it is the same problem.
