Unfortunately my little 214 SEi has failed it's MOT this morning on a trailing arm bush. And the other side has been put down as an advisory.
Due to my lack on knowledge I need help in identifying it, locating one or two and tips on fitting it/them. I am mechanically minded and can dismantle/repair elevators so will happily attempt it myself with help/tips.
I will try and source myself but knowing the expertise on here you guys will probably beat me to it!

Thanks for that 1234dist but you know my next question. Is the bush easier enough to replace? The guy at the MOT centre said it's easier changing the whole arm but I guess they're closer to £100.
And I asked at ATS who said his supplier can't get the arms (or maybe didn't want to do the job more like!)

can be done while on the car, they just hammer out/in.

This was from the 400 Bubble manual. The trailing arm's identical to the R8 but the earlier R8 manual considers the bush non-replaceable, and this gets reflected in the Haynes books as well. I couldn't get mine out in situ on the car so had to take them to the bench. Even there, I couldn't press them out and had to set them up, after bashing the middles out with a mallet, to saw a lengthwise slit in the outer shell. It didn't need to break through, just weaken enough to collapse slightly. Very sweaty job on a summer afternoon. The new ones drifted in reasonably easily, I aligned the mounting face of the cross bar with the circular hole through the arm to the front of the hub, as this matched for ride height with the car on the ground.
