Looks like you’re fairly local to me - if you see a chap in a dog knob red Citroen getting excited at the sight of an R8, it’s me.

Re: Project 216
Thanks guys, she’s been for an MOT today (minor issue with a non start as I went to leave - poxy relay this time!) and she only failed on the stuff I already knew about which was awesome.
Really happy with there being no nasty surprises and it was good fun to drive, really surprised at how nippy it is, drove back grinning like the village idiot.
Needs a little tickle with Zeus’s finger and some minor bits but overall for an old girl she did pretty well:

Re: Project 216
Seems that way!
The wife and I are going to be at POL this weekend so I doubt I'll get to look at it much until after that but hopefully will be able to crack on (weather permitting) soon. It will be interesting to see what surprises lie behind the sills when I cut them off, I'm guessing it probably won't be great though.
It's a million miles from the project we had planned but so far I'm really enjoying it. The last time I worked on or drove something of this era was probably early '00's, me and my mates all had Sierras as you pick them up dirt cheap and they went sideways well.
