Hi all
Looking for advice on changing the power steering belt on my 218sld. The belt is run off a pulley on the back end of the camshaft along with a brake vacuum belt
The problem I have is releasing the power steering pump pressure to able me to change the belt, I’ve slackened off the 10mm slider/adjuster bolt, removed one of the 2 bracket bolts securing the pump and slackened off the other bolt which as far as I can see should allow the pump to move slightly to allow tha belt to be changed but the pump won’t move. Have I missed another bolt somewhere does anyone know? TIA

Probably too late judging by the date of your original post, but this is from the Dealer Workshop Repair manual on how to adjust the power steering pump pulley. Hope it's helpful or at least informative for the future.

Thank you for the information, yes was a bit late but good to know anyway, there was a third bolt that I’d missed ( out of view) thanks again
