Key Fob Problem Can Anybody Help

CAN ANYBODY HELP!
Hi i have got a Rover 200 (R Registration.) My car will not disarm,any ideas im at a loss, Has any body got any ideas. Please

check the baterey contacts in the i had one that broke i just re soildered the joint and it worked a treat

Unlock the car with the key.

Unplug the battery then replace then try again. If not then try removing the fob batteries, pressing each button a couple of times, then replacing the battery. Then press the unlock button 5 times till the car unlocks. Then lock and unlock it and hopefully it should all work fine.

With a car that age, you should have an Emergency Key Access code (EKA), a 4 digit code which can be entered via the driver's door lock to disarm the immobiliser.
Out in the desert with an old Jeep and a Volvo.
