Oh dear, the 218iS is still in bits. My ongoing fatigue has hampered progress, although I had managed to get the headlining refitted along with various fittings.
I didn't notice it initially, but unfortunately there's a concave gap either side, which clearly isn't right. It certainly isn't present either on my Brother's 25 or a former colleague's 218 i!
The actual shade is clearly concave from below, as can be seen in the photo.
When I was cleaning all the old glue and disintegrated foam off the panel, most of the time was spent kneeling down with it laid flat on a hard floor. Surely, I couldn't have created the bow in it..........could I?
It's now out of the car again, hopefully pending a solution. Most frustrating.
