On the Coupe mine dont work, I've tried new bulbs and checking the connections but to no avail, anyone got any ideas?

Have you checked the fuse?

Check the wiring in the boot hinge area too as the wires can flex and break over time.

i had the same problem on my cabby. it ended up being the boot hinge loom in the rubber joint thingy...!
had to re solder the lines.. :?
any other 216se cabby owners out there???

As described by Dan and Kaedelin, this is exactly what the problem was. Turns out it has happened before as the wiring in there was an absolute mess.

did u re wire/solder beyond the rubber joint unit, when mine went i re did connections a good 6 inches beyond the rubber, finding exact wire colour replacement was a strugle though
any other 216se cabby owners out there???

No I used spade connectors on a spare wire and fed them back through the grommet.

i would suggest it be done by solder connection and heat shrink over the joints just as an added precaution from corrosion of connectors, but if ur happy and they work! glad its done anyway
