11th October -Coventry Transport Museum visit- AGM & Day Out

Post by Smithy »

Just a reminder to all that the Coventry Transport Museum dayout and AGM is on Sunday 11th October.

I have arranged parking with the museum to display our vehicles in Millenium Place (see photo), entry is from Chantry Place. The museum will lower the bollards for us on the day. I have attached a map. (You must bring a drip tray for your vehicle regardless if your vehicle leaks or not (this is compulsory museum regulations - a) we would like to return so need to follow the rules b)any damage to the timepiece or oil found we would have to stump up the cash)

I suggest meeting up from 11am. The AGM meeting is scheduled for 1:30pm. Full details of the AGENDA, and nomination forms will be in the club magazine which is due out immeniently.

Excellent....will take 5 minutes in my flying machine! Went past it yesterday on the bus, but couldn't see if there is a drop kerb in front of the bollards, would have thought there should be, the kerbs are made of those thick Cotswold type stone!

Yes your welcome to the come along see what the club is all about, meet other enthusiasts, etc. Just remember to bring some form of drip tray.

The museum is free entry and is pretty good.

We have the bettman room reserved for our annual general meeting, where we elect the club committee for the next year (only members can vote), review the past year, and discuss plans for the forthcoming year.

We may even persuade you to join up ;)

All cars must have a drip tray whether they leak or not. Its the rules and if we don't abide by them then we can't park there.

I bought a few cheap plastic trays from a pound shop for the NEC (same rules there).

Or you could borrow some from mcdonalds :D

(That was a joke BTW)

Google will send you all round M40 and M42 which is very indirect. If you would like to meet at Gordano at J19 M5 and go in convoy, we could get to Coventry in about 90 minutes from there. I live in Bristol but I used to live in Warwickshire so I know a good route with some great roads. (Don't worry, I don't drive like a nutter!)

I will need a drip tray - our Coupe leaks like a... um cannot think of anything polite... it leaks a lot!
