Thanks to a fellow Rover owner from another forum the GTI is now lowered.
Had a small problem getting it out of the garage and up the drive due to the ramp leading to the garage but after utilizing some wood in the garage it was free.
Another problem that we found was that when under load on the passengers side front tyre that was intermittent noise sounding like something was catching on the passengers side front. I think though it has been solved after Ross found it was catching on the inner wheel arch lining on one point and also it was catching on full lock in either direction. Apart from that job is a goodun.

The passenger's side wheel rubs on the inner arch on full right-hand lock. I have just got used to it.
The ZR doesn't have that problem, of course, but the turning circle is cr*p!!
I must admit that does make me feel better that it isn't just me then.
After modifying the protruding and offending part of the inner lining with a blow torch for a second and then pushing it back into shape it seems to have solved the problem.
Yeah I agree Neil it does look nice and as it should have come out of the factory like that as well. Now to try and sort the leak from the corner of the engine as I've noticed it's getting slightly worse.

Klinger head gasket it is then, apparently the T series gasket is the same for the M series, and around about £40 i think.
So all the bolts came undone without to much problem?
