But while on the subject of radiators, are Turbo ones still readily available?
I don't need one right now, but I guess it would be worth grabbing a spare if one comes up at a good price

Re: Radiator
Hi there, I replaced my radiator ( rover 420sli mk2 T series) with one i purchased on Ebay for 49 quid inc p+p, and I too found that I had to replace the temp sensor on the side of the rad ( along with the rubber securing bung), and recently ran the car after it had been standing for some time found that the thermostat had decided to stick, and there was me impatiently waiting for the fan to kick in when the temp read 50%, still nothing, so having removed the thermostat and chucked it on the cooker in a pan of boiling water and removed it several times, it now works absolutely fine, as a previous posting says, 50% on the temp or around there you should expect the fan to kick in, so it's worth exploring the easiest ( and cheapest to replace) items first, thermostat, fan switch.
Just thought I'd share my experience, in case it helps.

Re: Radiator
All 220 and 420 have the same rad, except for turbos and those with aircon. Turbo and aircon ones are half the height but thicker, and the turbo ones also differ by having a small outlet to allow water to flow from the turbo.
