biggest bill

Post by mort2156 »

i was due to have the car resprayed before christmass so i took it out of my workshop for a thrash round the yard as i hadent driven it for 9 months or so while i have been stripping and replaceing parts when at about 20mph and 3000 rpm the cam belt went :o :o :o

OMG that is the first time i have ever had one go i didnt realise at first so i tried to restart the engine a few times well the damage was total destruction :slapme

i sent the car off to a specialest engine repair center near me and they said a new unit would be better but i could not find a seccond hand engine for less than 800£ so i decided to have the whole thing reconditioned after a few phone calls i decided to send the car to http://www.southernengines.co.uk who were fantastic i got the car back today with the final bill of £1974.65p but i have a new engine i know that i will never recoupe to cost but ho hum all thats left to do is the paint job then she is ready for the open road again

but my better half says i have to save up the cash first she just does not understand that some cars just need some attension
