Some hard work there you've done :cool

Is that a pulsar T28 or a 200sx turbo ?

Nice shiney bolts you have there, were the old ones hard to get off ?

Did you say you had steering rack failure ?

Ultimate sleeper car that is :cool

firose, its a pulsar t28 with a 360 degree bearing rebuilt 6k ago.

which shiny bolts mate?

rack had massive amounts o fplay, mad ethe car dodgy to drive to say th eleast, wouldnt drive straight and obviously handling/steering was compromised.

i love the sleeper aspect of it lots, was worried about having to cut the bumper for the pulsar fmic as it would ruin the sleepr looks but ive managed to fit it without cutting anything....with th ebonnet closed you can barely tell its an fmic.

cheers

Mike,

The nuts and bolts on the downpipe and manifold mate :)

I have the same problem with my rack as the steering feels quite light and sometimes un-certain. Even though it was replaced under warranty in 2001.

How does it feel with the new turbo, bet you got a big grin on your face :thumbup

Also have you taken the fog lamps out or putting them back in ?

Keep up the good work and nice mota you got there :cool

not driven it yet pal, waiting on a couple of slimline fans and should be good to go, got a cookie downpipe coming end of the month aswell which means ripping it apart again, thatll be as far as i can go really untill forgies if i bother...

fogs will be going back on, the bumper is just resting on mounts at h emo to keep the ic hidden form passers by....

manifold bolts are home made studs, the oe rover studs only screw 10m into the head whereas you can 25mm of a bolt in there, no wonder so many strip threads..

steering going light is a rack valve problem iirc but ive always thought mine was light compared to non rovers anyway, obviouly i cant be sure without driving yours to compare to mine *laughs*.

mike

ps, i should really post my spec up here

The valve on the rack is it something you can replace or does it need a complete new rack ?

I have 3 Rovers in the family and mine has the lightest steering wheel feel out of all of them.

Stop twiddling your thunmbs get the spec and more pics posted :tt2
