Hi everyone. Iv been on here a few times with our exploits racing one of the original GTI race cars in various saloon car championships. I have just rescued another of the 30 odd cars built in 1990. Its just a rolling shell, with no engine, gearbox and lots of small bits missing. Im advertising for a complete possibly rotten / mot failed 216 GTi for a donor car, so please let me know if you know of one.
Or if anyone fancies a good race car project I might let it go. It has only about 6500 miles on the clock, but never been on the road! No vin plates etc so stricktly off road only.
These very special and rare cars were produced with no sunroof, wind up windows and fully seam welded for strength. No sound deadening or undersealing so no good for road use..
Either way if anyones interested please let me know.
Colin.

yeah mate, still in my donor car at the moment was running well when we parked up and is linked to a manual box.
I needed it for all the other parts of the car and nutz and bolts ect.
Be looking about £150 complete with the ecu and speedo if I can find it.
