This is fantastic ,At last a Club for the great 25
I will do a feature for the Magazine if somebody can tell me who to send it to ,My 25 is called Brian and is well known in these parts .
Interestingly 3 friends of mine own 25 GTi 1.8vvt and all 3 were on display at pride of Longbridge in 2015 . Brian was there too 5 years after his first appearance in 2010 .
stand at BL DAY and POL should be varied in 2016
As a fairly new member I missed out on the email and chance to vote although I agree with the outcome.
Can someone just clarify what the club now covers ? Mainly not sure about all 25's and 45's ? Presume this would be all the way up to around 2008 registered cars.
Also not sure if the MG'S are included ZR and ZS ?
Had a bit of search about and can't see any clarification here or indeed any mention on website . I was going to start spreading the word but don't want to give anyone the wrong info!
Any help on clarification much appreciated cheers Tam.
My understanding is that we include the original 'SD3' Rover 213 and 216 saloons plus all R3-based and HHR-based cars, but preferably Rover-badged, as the MG ZR and ZS are already well-represented in a number of other places. In reality, we are unlikely to attract many 200 BRM enthusiasts, either, as there is already a very good resource out there for them (thebrm.co.uk)
Obviously the years listed here are approximate, as many cars sat unregistered for a couple of years after MG Rover ceased trading.
And just as we have always welcomed Honda Concerto owners here, we would also welcome owners of the 1980s Honda Ballade and the late 1990s Honda Civic 5-door based on the 400 series. (Aerodeck with a T16 turbo engine, anybody?)
