Still going?
Just wondering if this group is still active as there doesn't seem to be many recent posts. Anyone know?

Redicon or Trevor to his friends used to run the SW Area group, but has recently stood down from most club activities.
I will try to contact him.

Re: Still going?
I have not stood down from most club activities, just the secretary job, Tim knew I wanted to carry on as Vice chair and JRC rep because I sent him an email. Instead because I found out that he mislead me over certain things he wants me out of the club and has been telling everyone I've stood down.Mr Teddy Bear wrote:Redicon or Trevor to his friends used to run the SW Area group, but has recently stood down from most club activities.

Re: Still going?
Why not answer the o.p's question?
I have not received an email from you.
You have my club email and all my contact details including mobile I believe.
You have disabled p.m's and appear not to be a paid member any longer?
You didn't attend Octobers AGM and made no apologies for your absence.
It was stated and will be minuted that you had stood down from the Vice Chair Post [not by myself]
The club was not represented at the last JRC Meeting and thus as Chairman, I have taken steps to make sure that doesn't occur again.
People for the most part conduct themselves in a decent pleasant manor on this forum.

Re: Still going?
this is my reply to your points Tim
The meetings are still going.
You always say you haven't received my emails.
I don't know how to disable pm's and I'm a paid up member until June 2016
For the record when the moderator changed my colour from purple, it should have gone to blue, he/she turned it green and wiped my profile to default.
I could not make the AGM this year and sent an email to John explaining this.
I did not stand down as Vice Chair it was stated in your Chairpersons report which was written before the agm
I didn't attend the JRC meeting because you said I had stood down from all my posts hence had no authority to be there.
As for a decent pleasant manner I've been on this forum since it's early days and have had no problems with anyone before.
This is the end of the matter.

Re: Still going?
Myself and my dad attended the bi-monthly lunch today and found about this particular topic.
As usual, this was not attended by Mr Teddy Bear Tim, our non-existent chairman who, I see, is quick enough to slag hard-working Trevor off on this forum, but hasn't got the balls to turn up, let alone do anything worthwhile for our region of the club.
Over the last few years, Trevor, Diane, my Dad, myself, Dave and Sandy have planned, set-up and run a stand at the big annual south-west classic car show at Shepton Mallet.
We have funded this ourselves because we have received zero funding from the club, despite being fully paid up members. Mr Teddy Bear Tim, who apparently lives in Bristol has never bothered to show up or offer any support to us, so as a chairman Tim, you are hopeless.
If you bothered to turn up to any of our lunch meets, you would know that we are still very active down here and doing our best for the club and our cars.
You say that for the most part, people conduct themselves in a decent pleasant manner (not manor) on this forum. I do hope you are not including yourself in this comment, because, apart from using the angry icon in your reply (very decent, pleasant manner!) on December 11th at 1:41pm, all you're clearly interested in is swanning around up North playing the chairman.
If you want to discuss this further, our next lunch meeting is in the usual place on the last Saturday in March.
If, however, all you want to do is slag people off from behind a computer screen instead of supporting them (decent hard-working people who give up their time for free because they are enthusiasts), I suggest you stand down with immediate effect and devote your time to annoying another group of people elsewhere, and let us get on with the job of getting on with the job.

Re: Still going?
Well for what it's worth I would like to attend the next meeting in March if it doesn't clash with my work, I live in Swindon.
I wouldn't mind coming to the show in Shepton Mallet later in the year as well.
I can't comment on the rest of this conversation as it doesn't really involve me.

Re: Still going?
Hi Hammond,
If you are available you are more than welcome and it will be great to meet somebody new and and their Rover.
I had a blue 214SEi three door M reg twenty or so years ago (was it really that long ago?!) and absolutely loved it.
We discussed attending a few more shows in addition to the Shepton Mallet show at lunch today, one of which is up Reading way, and again you would be more than welcome to join us at any of them.
Re : the conversation, don't worry, it's not indicative of what goes on in this region, but it's been rumbling on for a few years now and it was time it was given an airing.
We're just a group of enthusiasts who enjoying showing our cars, talking about cars (and other topics occasionally) and going to classic car shows.
Hope we can meet up with you in March.
