216 Cabriolet replacement hood
Well, made a bit more progress this evening.
Got the roof on properly now and it does look good, although I am only about 95% happy with the front, but 100% happy with the back.
Tomorrow all will be finished. Didn't do the headlining rods on the back-shelf yet, but hopefully that will only take 10 minutes. Then fit the D pillar seals - hopefully 10 minutes. Then the 2 little screws on the back by the window - 5 minutes.
So should only take about 2 hours...

Well, some good news.
It's done. Well, nearly, but as good as that no-one would notice.
Just need to re-attach one of the headliner clip thingys in the back and put the 2 screw covers on the back corners by the window. But all else is done. The front is still not quite as I would have liked, but it's more than I was expecting overall.
I shall get a couple of photos on Saturday in the daylight and post them up here for all to see...

Hey tim
those pics look very very nice. Makes me want to go in the garage and redo that bloody back!
Our cars could almost be twins. If you do take it to classics on the common we should try and drive in together so that we get a space next t each other on the field.
A question.. what did you do about the rivets? I dont have a rivet gun so i kinda shoved it back into place!

Tell you what - I'll do your back, you do my front!!! Only joking - never again!!!
They could indeed almost be twins. Still don't know about the classics in the park thing - it is a weekday so that could put me off - swine work...
Rivets. Yes, erm, like you I just shoved it back in place. I did try to put a couple of screws in but they didn't quite fit so I just lost interest... Just don't tell Allison. Oh, wait, she's sitting next to me reading what I type - d'oh!
