400 Driver's Window Update

Post by AED »

Found a Rover Breakers place called Best Of British. Phone 0121 526 5444/5506. They are based in Darlaston, West Midlands and are very helpful. They looked at my window and showed me how to reajust it. Now at least I can put the window down third of way and back up with no problem.
They do new regulaters about £69.00p.
Hope this helps others :)

Adjust Window

Post by AED »

I had to take the door trim off. Be very careful with the interior door handle as I broke the plastic clip that keeps the bar that moves the door lever in place on the door handle. I cannot get new ones except from Brindley, off the Penn Road in Wolverhampton.
Lower the window down and you can see that two bolts hold it in place. I took them out and had a game to refit the one. Just loosen them and slide the window to the right and the window will come out. Then tighten every bolt. Then get the window glass into the rubber edging and push it down onto the rail and retighten the two bolts.
Mine works but the actual mechanism is worn. At least I can put window down aout a third of the way and back up again.
Hope this helps. :)
