T-series engine management fuse keeps blowing
I have not driven the 220 for about 3 weeks. Negative lead was disconnected from the battery to preserve battery capacity. Checked voltage before starting and it was only 12.21 volts. I thought, there is no way she is going to start without the booster pack.
To my surprise, she started and idled nicely. Up to operating temperature by the time I drove off. All good until I reached the main road after a couple of turns. Literally turned left onto the main road and heard a fuse blow and the engine died.
Knew it would be engine related, saw that the 10 amp engine management fuse had blown, so replaced it and it blew again just by turning the ignition key to position 2.
Any thoughts about what this could be? It's strange that it drove fine three weeks ago and drove fine for 300 yards just now. But it just will not start now. The fuse keeps blowing the moment I turn the key to position 2.

Re: T-series engine management fuse keeps blowing
Yes, a sinking feeling on reading that Craig. I was thinking maybe a short to earth on the lambda senor or ignition coil?
Incidentally, I swapped two of the yellow main relays in the engine bay fuse box, in case of a bad relay, but same fuse blowing issue.
It's got me. How can it be okay one moment and not the next?

Re: T-series engine management fuse keeps blowing
Please does anyone have any electrical knowledge to help diagnose this fault? I have a Rover electrical fault finding workshop manual, but it is for the 1.4 & 1.6 engined models. Has anyone a copy to cover the 2.0 t-series?
