Thanks for all advice given.
I changed the rotor arm spark plugs and crank censor.
But still would not start.
It has fuel and spark and timing is correct.
Immobilizer light goes out aswell.
After several days tinkering it suddenly started.
I ran the car for to two weeks with no problems.
Then it started cutting out at traffic lights again.
Yesterday it didn't start in the morning. After fiddling a bit it started .
Then later that day it would not fire so I had to walk home.
Im thinking immobilizer.?
Can i bypass it.?
Can anyone shed some light please.

I can get you your eka code but I have to plug into the car so not really much help there.

I was told to press the lock button on my key fob 5 times with ignition on to release immobilizer.
Tried it and it worked. :clapping
Anyone heard of this before?
After reconnecting the battery i would lock the unlock car with the key.
Then i would turn the ignition on and press the unlock button once then lock twice and unlock once.
This would release immobilizer.
Which is correct?
Thanks.

Absolute croc....
More likely your fob just started working or was just low battery so needed to be in closer proximity.

There are only two (legal) ways of bypassing the immobiliser that I am aware of, the first being the eka code in the door lock and the other I won’t post on open forums.

The car failed to start again this morning.
Am I right in thinking that if the immobilizer light goes out on the dash then its all as it should be.?

On my 414 the ECU died, while it was on it's way out it developed a flat spot at the bottom of the rev range; I got one of the last reconditioned ones that Rimmers had for a good price.

They didn't want the old one back either, so not really interested in the longevity of our cars. :mad
