cheers i found the fuse box. there is one 40amp that was blone i think thats the reason why its not turning on. however i replaced it with another 40 amp and when i turned the key the igniotion light turned on slightly but then went dead i checked the amp and it blew again. must be something that triggers the amp any ideas?

Did the thieves damage the igntion barrel? If so then it may be that the switch on the end is damaged inside and so is now blowing fuses. If this is the case then get a new switch from a scrap yard and it should be an easy fix. What I'd try first is to disconnect the switch (there is a plug on it I think). Then replace the fuse. If the fuse still blows then there is a wiring fault somewhere else. If not then the fault is with the switch and so should be an easy fix.

The good news, if there is any, is that this is probably the reason that the car wasn't sucessfully stolen.
