Ok ive ordered some NGK plugs, Ingition leads, Distributor cap and rotor arm, Castrol GTX Magnatec 10w40 + filter, K&N induction kit (part number = 57-0169-1)

When i ordered them they all came to (excluding the K&N filter) just under £79. When i asked for the oil filter they gave me a choice of a 20M or a 20T i rememebr the M and T at the end of the number but im not sure if the numbers were 20 so ive just used them as an example. I rememebred Marks post about the M and T series engines. So i thought that this is what the letters were for. I chose the 20M as my engine resembles that one better than teh other (T).

The air filter in teh M series is in the exact same place tahts on mine. Mine says DOHC on top of it.

Thanks for the help. No dout ill need some more soon as the rear wiper doesnt work. I think i just need a motor :?

Regarding the window, the door card comes off with a series of screws. two or three on the sides, one behind the door latch, one looking down onto the door pull and another bigger one at the top of the door pull. then it lifts up and away from the door.

the problem may well be the plastic catches which are glued to the window. if thy become ditached the motor will go up and down but the window won't.

^^ Thanks for that mate.. Ill have a look tomorrow :) If the glue has come off can i but them back on with some Bostic Super Glue? :*laughs*:
Or is that just stupid

I dont know if i mentioned it but i kept losing power for some reason. I changed the fuel filter and got a new fan belt fitted. The mechanic said he noticed that the head gasket was seaping.

rubbish! Im going to go and get a quote for this on Monday
I will tell them that they might as well change the cam belt too. Its done 92,000 without a change so might as well get it done now with teh same labour as teh Head Gasket. This is gonna cost me an arm and a leg :(

Thank for all your help lads :D . Ive had more help here than i got at my local garage.

Headgasket seeping is fairly normal. They all tend to weep oil down the front right hand side of the block. When it becomes a trickle rather than a weep then is the time to change it for a Klinger headgasket which is better than the original.

The cambelt is a really easy job on the T series.

Thx E_T_V, ill ask the mechanic for a "Klinger HG." :) The mechanic said its a commom fault on these cars. I just agreed with him as the only fault i know of is the igniter units in teh Honda engines going.

When i did teh oil change it was as black as teh ace of spades

Oh, the window that doesnt work... OK, i took the door card off but i cant get past the metal thats behind the door card to have a look at the motor. Will i need a new door or can this be taken off? :?

I think that, hmmmmm, ok what ill do is take some pictures as it will be easy to see the actual problem im seeing with the drivers window. Im not sure of the time but ill defo take and post them today

It might even be easyer if i did a small film :?
