The T16 was always economical in my 820, particularly on long steady runs.

Get better MPG in my 1.6K Cabby on the motorway and A roads than innercity.

I know its not R8-related but .... I was surprised that the SD1 V8 gave 23mpg there and back when it's previous best was 20 :D
I like Twin Cams, Single Cams, Turbos and 5-cam VVCs :cool

john the v8 can be good on fuel the old mans old sd1 with 300bhp would see 30-35mpg most times the best was 41mpg :D
