I also got a huge sense of the "Rover community" on the day, but non more so than when I was blasting along the A38 coming in and I was alongside a procession of Rovers and MGs. Not sure if it's the done thing to overtake a convoy but a sense of pride (or something similar...) overtook me, so I overtook... Maybe I was just trying to show what an old-timer can still do

The One Show, for instance!
You'd have thought so - the Lord Mayor was there - I spotted his XJ or (XF?) with a crest on it on the way in - all I saw were photographs being taken, so I assume they're in print somewhere? I was listening to Free-BHM on the way in - but they didn't mention the show during the "list of what's on" segment at about 8:45am... Definitely something to have changed for next year I think... need to make the media more aware...

But I think there's potential for the show to get even bigger with a little help. Could be a big fund raiser for charities, ex-workers, etc. and a really nice day out for the wider public. If it was more recognised by MG then it might be good for their publicity too. An MG6 prize-draw for example would probably raise a bit and might help to launch the car... Or if that would grate a little with ex-workers, maybe JLR donating a shiny new XE??
I think I might be being a little ambitious - but it's certainly got potential - and the region could do with a flagship event like this...
