Re: Antifreeze
Red OAT is best
Re: Antifreeze
Depends on how often you'll be changing it.
There is no difference between the OAT and the standard blue stuff in terms of its anti-freeze properties. The only difference is in the corrosion inhibitors. The blue stuff lasts 2 years, the red / pink / orange stuff lasts 4 or 5 depending on the type. Personally I use the blue.

Re: Antifreeze
So blue is fine to use in the K serise ?
I was told to use the OAT red one as it can cause hgf.
ill use the blue then as its easyer to get my hands on.

Re: Antifreeze

Re: Antifreeze
As you don't try to mix the OAT, HOAT or conventional types you should be fine with any of them.

Re: Antifreeze
I got red in mine to guys......

Re: Antifreeze
Doesn't matter what the colour is, it'll not make it any more/less prone to HGF.
Both are ethylene glycol, just the Red/Pink/Orange stuff has different additives to prevent corrosion.
I used blue in our old 1.4 for 60k miles without issue.
