I’ve looked into the latch tonight and there is a broken spring inside. I think this may well be the issue for the boot open warning light although not the boot light itself. I just need to find a replacement one now!

I have looked up the following items in the Haynes manual wiring diagrams.
The boot lamp, the clock maintenance and the interior light are all powered through Fuse 12 in the passenger fuse box. Have you checked this fuse? It should be 15A.

Boot open warning light and boot light itself have the same switch within the latch. So you might have problem there.

Spot on!

Thanks so much! So silly that I didn’t check the fuses first! The fuse wasn’t even there so I fitted and it all works aside from the boot light which is down to the latch mechanism!

Thanks for everyone’s help 😊
