i had a simular problem, and it turned out to be the start of a head gasket failure.

whats your water levels like?

and have you got mayonaise in the filler cap?

fogot to add, when she is started, she runs fine. no lag. clean crisp acceleration. but when i stop the engine. it is still difficult to start.

hey guys. i have just changed my cam belt, and head gasket. changed all the fluids. it is increadibly difficuly to start. all the timing marks line up. i did not disturb the fuel lines as i did not need to, the head was in ok condition when i changed the gasket. when i turn the key, i get the sound ...

see i did try and look for some cam shafts, but i couldnt find any suitable. dave, if you dont mind me asking, how much roughly was your exaust to make? as for the wheels, they are staying for now. will change them at some point as the previos owner curbed them a bit. and they need some spacers so t...
