Thanks for the replys. :) I had a good friend whos handy with fabrication stuff make me up a new hood bit out of the hardest stainless steel i have ver seen! So hoods all good. I gave everything a greasing with white grease. :) Ive got a tube of tiger seal for the rubber strip. Still to fix it on! :...

We put the roof down and had a lovely trip to the beach with the dog. Mrs S was very impressed the way the airflow didnt mess her hair up. unfortunately the rubber trim off the top of the front screen came off (double sided tape seems to have lost its sticky). These things wil happen over 20 years or so 
I was looking on rimmer brothers and any R8 other than coupe looks like it will fit.... Now all ive got to do is find an electric lhs one... unless i can swap the electric bits out of a rhs mirror perhaps? ;)

OOOOHhhh nice job Ashley :) I might need to get myself one of those workshop manuals :) Im hoping I can work out how the door panel comes off ;) *laughs*! Does the book show a bit clearer where that nut is? I guess that cable and clip will give it away. :clapping I know on the mgf/ tf you can adjust...

Electric wing mirror glass fixing - should it be easy to snap into place?
Hi All, My passenger side wing mirror glass is "floppy". It doesnt really move with the electric adjustment as id expect. Ive pulled it out (it wasnt difficult) and I can see the springs but I cant get it to locate properly on the electric mount (gimble thing the motors inside moves about)...
