Maybe im wrong but that's what I am doing. I fill the car to the maximum drive it until the gague says empty then I refill it. Each time it shows Ive done 400 or so miles (+/- 20 miles) and costs 45 pounds. I dont need much more data than that , all I need is the price of petrol to fall like oil pri...

Hi, if it helps I regularly get 400 miles per tank from my 1994 214 Rover cabriolet with a mix of careful driving with over half on A road or motorway. The tank holds 55 litres 12 gallons and I run it from full to red using the fuel gauge. The handbook says it should do 31.9 mpg urban / 51.4 at 56mp...
