Re: 1.4 k-series bottom pulley problem.

Research shows that the Aircon belt is 5-rib wide, but non-aircon is 4 ribs wide. As the aircon vs non aircon PAS setup is the same, I think that the only difference is that the aircon pulley will have an extra rib, so I'll have to make sure to keep the belt on the "outside" of the pulley....

Re: High Pressure Fuel Hose on R8

This is a good point, these cars are now 30 years old, and hoses suffer, A hydraulic company like Pirtex May be able to help. Sometimes they won’t fit new hose to old fittings due to warranty and liability issues. Or they may not have the right hose in stock. On V8 range rovers of similar vintage ( ...

Re: 420 GSi Touring Turbo?

There is truly nothing better IMO of a sleeper lowly aged car, particularly an estate/tourer completely surprising and beating modern stuff off the lights. 200bhp in an 1100kg car will still shift amoungst many moderns! Honestly when i take out my dad's old volvo 960 1991, looks a bit beaten up, ju...

1992 214GSi wheel/tyre sizes.

Quick question. Was a 15" wheel option ever fitted to the 1992 214 GSi please? I know what I CAN fit, but I'm trying to find out what Rover ORIGINALLY fitted - was there a 15" option? Out here in Portugal, I can only fit the tyre size that the manufacturer originally fitted, and is listed ...

1992 1.4 16v Lower timing belt sprocket.

Quick Question:- Is the crankshaft timing belt sprocket the same on all K-Series (LHH100480)? And Has anyone got one spare they want to sell (and ship to Madeira)? I need a replacement - is it the same across all the K-Series? It seems to be the same on all 1.4/1.6 - it's not clear about 1.8 though ...

Thanks for that.

Re: 214 gearbox parts source (R65 gearbox)

Shipping of used parts into Portugal is proving a huge headache at the mo.

If it's "Scrap", then it's deemed as waste material and needs a waste carriers licence.
If it's from a scrapped car, they ask for the certificate of destruction.

A law unto themselves.
