Lifted the car up and spotted it was leaking coolant, that explains why the coolant tank was empty... only one culprit left, and yes it was the waterpump. S...

New-ish Member ! hello !
Hey everyone! I have rejoined the forum after about a year hiatus The occasion? Well I’ve just re-bought my old Rover 216GSI! J731MDO - after I had posted a series of posts on my light restoration. The plan is to take it on a one way road trip to Cyprus in September. It’s a bit of an unknown quantit...

Keen to know how this turns out. Surprised really as I’d have thought the Honda engine to be superior to a K series in terms of head gasket failure ?

Drive it Day Disappointments
As the old adage goes, if things can go wrong, they will! And so with that it was on Drive it Day 2022. For a start I had made a meal of it before the sun had even risen. I’d accidentally double-booked the day, with a classic car meet in Headcorn in the morning followed by another classic car show a...

Re: Panel Gaps
Thanks everyone super helpful stuff!
So I think that I’ll start by drying out the boot and sorting out the bumper foam seal - how do I get at this? Do I have to remove the rear bumper ? Would appreciate any tips

Re: Panel Gaps
Ok I will try loosening up the bolts a little bit I did fill with a lot of sealant and it seems pretty tight looking at it Do you reckon panel gaps between the light and the body are not the cause of the issue ? If it is the vent what’s the best solution to solve ? Will I need to remove the rear bum...

It seems to be doing both - but the carpet is wet a fair distance back from the light cluster maybe about 20-30cm.
Water is collecting in the spare wheel well also

Panel Gaps
Think this may go some way to explaining why i am still getting a wet boot on the L/H side of the car. I have re-sealed both rear lights with gasket sealant and water still seems to be getting in Attached are some photos i have noticed of the panel gaps. I imagine it must have had a bump at some poi...
