Ive used the autoglym stuff before when i had a 216sli.
Ive got some simonz stuff that i was given, works well but you have to do it regulary.

The mud flaps were very sunbleached, but i find if you use some baby oil on them first then follow up with some bumper grey stuff the next week.

I used to be well into moutain bikeing at that time aswell.

M trax wasent that the one where they bonded the tubes together as aposed to welding?

I only had a ralleigh max, still got it at my folks house, replaced most things on it as i had a habbit of braking it! *laughs*

There a load of rubbish and a waste of money, they belong in the same vein as the ebay "20bhp horse power resistor chips" & the electric "superchargers". All it will do is restrict the airflow and generaly do naff all, put it this way if they were that good all the car manufa...

You could try a stepper motor reset, i had to do that on mine as it used to idle at 2000 rpm!

Turn the key to position 2
Press & release the accelerator pedal 5 times.

It will now be reset, try that and see how it does

I'm considering a 75 as my next car, would love a 800 but at this age I guess it would be a lot of work. Im on my 5th now, ive had (in order):

1984 998cc mini mayfair, silver
1991 216 sli, white/grey
1995 216 coupe, tarty blue
1997 800 vitesse, nightfire red
1991 214 sli current car, flame red/grey

I do plan to get another coupe wich will then make that my 4th r8 :D
